Built for Busy Commercial Coffee Service

The Classe 5 CRONO Tall provides the capacity and working space expected from a full-size professional 2-group espresso machine.

It is particularly well suited to:

  • Busy cafés and coffee shops
  • Restaurants and dining venues
  • Hotels and hospitality businesses
  • Pubs, bars and leisure venues
  • Takeaway-led coffee operations
  • Sites requiring dependable 2-group commercial performance

Tall Groups for Takeaway Cups

The Tall configuration gives both brewing groups additional clearance for cups up to 145mm high.

Pull-out rise plates allow smaller traditional espresso cups to be positioned closer to the group heads, giving the machine flexibility across espresso cups, mugs and taller takeaway drinkware.

Steady Brew Temperature Control

Rancilio's patented Steady Brew technology is designed to maintain stable water temperature throughout extraction.

By improving thermal stability during both busy periods and quieter service, Steady Brew helps deliver better repeatability from one espresso to the next.

Digital Shot Timer for Each Group

Each group has its own digital display integrated into the keypad.

The display allows the barista to monitor extraction time in real time, providing a simple visual reference for checking consistency throughout service.

It also provides access to coffee-extraction parameters and other machine information.

Automatic Volumetric Dosing

The CRONO version uses automatic dosing, allowing programmed coffee volumes to be delivered consistently at the touch of a button.

This speeds up workflow during busy periods while keeping the barista in control of grinding, dosing, tamping, extraction quality and milk preparation.

11-Litre Commercial Boiler

The 2-group Classe 5 CRONO uses an 11-litre single boiler, providing the capacity required for demanding espresso, steam and hot-water service.

This gives the machine greater commercial capacity than the compact ECO model while retaining the straightforward single-boiler architecture of the Classe 5 range.

C-Lever Steam Control

Rancilio's C-Lever steam valve is operated with a short 25-degree movement.

Push it upwards and the valve remains open for continuous steaming. Push it downwards and steam is delivered only while the lever is held, giving the barista quick and intuitive control during milk preparation.

Ergonomic Portafilters & Work-Area Lighting

Rancilio's ergonomic portafilter handles are designed to balance weight and reduce unnecessary wrist movement during repeated use.

LED lighting around the working area improves visibility beneath the brewing groups, helping the barista monitor espresso flow and cup positioning during service.

Easy Cleaning

Rancilio Easy Clean manages the group-head cleaning process automatically once the cycle has been started.

The machine then carries out the required washing and rinsing operations, making regular cleaning easier to incorporate into the daily routine.

Rancilio Commercial Espresso Machines

Professional Coffee Technology Built Around the Barista

Rancilio has been building professional espresso equipment for generations, combining commercial reliability with brewing technology designed to improve consistency, workflow and control behind the bar.

Across the Classe range, that means practical features such as Steady Brew temperature management, programmable dosing, cool-touch steam wands, ergonomic portafilters, energy-saving systems and straightforward cleaning and maintenance.

The specification changes significantly as you move through the range. Classe 5 focuses on simplicity, compact dimensions and efficiency; Classe 7 adds more advanced thermal control and commercial functionality; while Classe 20 and Classe 11 introduce increasingly sophisticated temperature management, touchscreen control and high-volume brewing technology.

The important part is choosing the right machine for the way your business actually serves coffee. Not sure which Rancilio suits your site? Just ask us and we’ll help you narrow it down.

The brochures support that overall progression: Classe 5 ECO is positioned around simplicity and energy efficiency; Classe 7 around Steady Brew, ergonomics and reliability; Classe 20 adds more advanced thermal systems and diagnostics; and Classe 11 moves into advanced touchscreen and Xcelsius brewing control.
